Standard Aero Cuts 100 Jobs in Tilburg

Monday, 22-June-2009 - Tilburg/Winnipeg - This is the article I found on page three of this morning's paper: Standard Aero Cuts 100 Jobs in Tilburg. I got the news from my boss when I got back from the air show last Friday. For everyone in Tilburg it was a shot out of the blue. We just let 40 people go in March, and we were planning on being able to keep our head above water until next year. After more than 17 years at Standard Aero, I'll be looking for work soon. Losing my job is a big deal, but there are worse things that happen in one's lifetime, like losing your spouse to cancer. I'm thankful to have my family and my friends. I'm planning on finding a new job with a new mission. I'll let you know how the search goes.
